지휘자 박근태
지휘자 박근태는 2022년 프랑스 드 보줴 오페라 지휘 콩쿠르에서 한국인 최초 우승과 함께 오케스트라상과 관객상을 동시에 수상하며 국제적 주목을 받았다. 2021/22시즌부터 2025/26시즌까지 베를린 노이에 필하모니 오케스트라 수석지휘자 겸 부예술감독으로 활동했으며, 루마니아 바나툴 필하모닉 오케스트라 수석부지휘자를 역임했다. 그는 베를린 도이치 심포니, 코미셰 오퍼 베를린, 함부르크 심포니, 프랑크푸르트 오더 국립오케스트라 등 독일 주요 악단과 카를로비 바리, 아테네, 아르메니아, 카이로, 소피아, 바젤 등 해외 유수 오케스트라를 지휘하며 국제 무대에서 활발히 활동했다.
오페라 지휘자로는 벤자민 브리튼 <루크레티아의 능욕>으로 데뷔했으며, 베를린 뤼더스도르프 극장에서 총감독 겸 지휘한 레하르 <유쾌한 미망인> 공연으로 독일 언론의 극찬을 받았다. 2025년에는 리카르도 무티 아카데미 역사상 한국인 최초로 발탁되어 밀라노에서 모차르트 <돈 조반니>를 지휘했으며, 2023년 국립심포니오케스트라 지휘자 워크숍 최우수 지휘자로 선정되었다.
피아노 전공으로 예원학교에 입학해 금호영재콘서트로 데뷔한 그는 2008년 이화·경향 콩쿠르와 2010년 중앙음악콩쿠르에서 1위를 수상했다. 연세대학교 최연소 전액 장학생으로 입학해 최우수 성적으로 졸업했으며, 뉴욕 카네기홀, 베를린 콘체르트하우스 등에서 초청 독주회와 협연 무대를 가졌다.
이후 베를린 한스 아이슬러 국립음대에서 DAAD 장학생으로 피아노와 지휘를 병행하며 최고 성적으로 졸업했으며, 오페라 코치와 지휘 석사 과정을 통해 전문 지휘자로 성장했다.
국내에서는 서울시향, KBS교향악단, 국립심포니오케스트라, 부천시향 등을 지휘하며 활동 영역을 넓혔고, 예술의전당과 세종문화회관 기획공연을 통해 관객과의 소통에도 힘쓴 바 있다. 현재는 대전시립교향악단 전임 지휘자로 활동 중이다.
Conductor Keuntae Park
Conductor Keuntae Park gained international recognition in 2022 as the first Korean to win the Opéra de Baugé International Conducting Competition, where he also received both the Orchestra and Audience Awards. From the 2021/22 to 2025/26 seasons, he served as Principal Conductor and assistant artistic director of the Neue Philharmonie Berlin and currently holds the position of Principal Assistant Conductor of the Banatul Philharmonic Orchestra in Romania. He has conducted major German orchestras, including the Berlin Deutsche Symphonie, Komische Oper Berlin, Hamburg Symphony, and Frankfurt Oder National Orchestra, as well as internationally renowned ensembles such as the Karlovy Vary Symphony, Athens Philharmonic, Armenian National Orchestra, Cairo Symphony.
Park made his opera conducting debut with Benjamin Britten’s <The Rape of Lucretia> and received critical acclaim for Lehár’s <The Merry Widow> in Berlin, where he served as both General Director and Conductor. In 2025, he became the first Korean selected for the Riccardo Muti Academy, conducting Mozart’s <Don Giovanni> in Milan, and in 2023, he was named Best Conductor at the National Symphony Orchestra Conductors’ Workshop.
Trained as a pianist, Park studied at the Yewon School of Music and made his debut in the Kumho Young Artists Concert. He won First Prize at the Ewha-Kyung Hyang Competition in 2008 and the JoongAng Music Competition in 2010. He entered Yonsei University as the youngest full-scholarship student and graduated with top honors, performing in venues such as Carnegie Hall in New York and the Konzerthaus Berlin.
He completed advanced piano and conducting studies at the Hanns Eisler School of Music Berlin as a DAAD scholar, graduating with top honors, and further developed his expertise as an opera coach and through a master’s program in conducting.
Domestically, Park has conducted the Seoul Philharmonic, KBS Symphony, National Symphony, and Bucheon Philharmonic, and has actively engaged audiences through curated concerts at the Seoul Arts Center and Sejong Center. He currently serves as Resident Conductor of the Daejeon Philharmonic Orchestra.
