She first gained international recognition in 2015 when she won Second Prize and the Audience Award at the Montreal International Musical Competition, and has since received major honors including prizes at Operalia, The World Opera Competition, the Queen Elisabeth Competition, the Korea National Opera Competition, and the Minister’s Award from Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
She has appeared on leading operatic stages including the Metropolitan Opera, the Hamburg State Opera, and the Glyndebourne Festival, performing roles such as Pamina (Die Zauberflöte), Zerlina (Don Giovanni), and Despina (Così fan tutte). In concert, she has collaborated with major orchestras including the New York Philharmonic under Gustavo Dudamel, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, and the London Philharmonic Orchestra, while continuing to expand her international presence across Asia and beyond. A frequent guest at major festivals including the BBC Proms and the Edinburgh International Festival, Park appears in 2026 as Susanna in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro with Opera North, makes her debut at the Verbier Festival, and sings Ilia in Mozart’s Idomeneo with Boston Baroque. She will also return to the Korean stage as Mimì in Puccini’s La Bohème with the Seoul Metropolitan Opera.
In 2020, Park became the first Asian soprano to sign an exclusive contract with Deutsche Grammophon, releasing her debut album <I Am Hera>. Her second album, <Breathe>, topped Spotify Korea’s Classic Korea chart and received widespread acclaim from audiences and critics worldwide.
