소프라노 최지은은 제62회 비냐스 국제 성악 콩쿠르(Concurs Internacional de Cant Tenor Viñas)에서 1위를 차지했으며, 한국 여성 성악가 최초로 2024년 베르디 국제 성악 콩쿠르(Concorso Internazionale Voci Verdiane) 1위, 2023년 KBS-Kepco 음악 콩쿠르에서도 1위를 수상하며 떠오르는 소프라노로서의 입지를 굳혔다. 그녀는 독일 코트부스 주립극장 앙상블 소속으로 <라 보엠(La Bohème)>의 미미(Mimì) 역으로 데뷔했으며, 주요 레퍼토리로는 <알치나(Alcina)>의 알치나, <장미의 기사(Der Rosenkavalier)>의 마리안느 등이 있다.
2025년에는 프랑크푸르트 오더(Frankfurt Oder)에서 오페라 <마탄의 사수(Der Freischütz)>의 아가테(Agathe) 역으로, 국내에서는 국립오페라단과 함께 <피가로의 결혼(Le nozze di Figaro)>의 백작부인 역으로 무대에 올랐다. 또한, 독일 코트부스 주립극장(Staatstheater Cottbus)에서는 <세 개의 오렌지에 대한 사랑(Die Liebe zu drei Orangen)>에서 스메랄디나(Smeraldina) 역, <마담 버터플라이(Madama Butterfly)>의 초초상(Cio-Cio San) 역으로 롤데뷔 성공적으로 마쳤다. 이후 괴테 극장(Goethe-Theater Bad Lauchstädt)에서는 니벨룽의 반지 시리즈 중 <발퀴레(Die Walküre)>와 <신들의 황혼(Götterdämmerung)>에서 지클린데(Sieglinde)와 구트루네(Gutrune) 역으로 출연하며 바그너 레퍼토리에도 발을 들였다.

소프라노 최지은은 수원대학교 음악대학 졸업, 베를린 한스 아이슬러 음악대학(Hanns Eisler School of Music) 석사 졸업 후 동대학에서 최고연주자 이수 중에 있으며, IMG Artists 제너럴 매니지먼트 계약 및 세아이운형문화재단 후원인재로 선정되어 활동반경을 더욱 넓혀나가고 있다.

Choi won first prize at the 62nd Concurs Internacional de Cant Tenor Viñas, and made history as the first Korean female vocalist to win first prize at the 2024 Concorso Internazionale Voci Verdiane. She also took first prize at the 2023 KBS-Kepco Music Competition, affirming her position as one of the most promising sopranos of her generation.
She is a member of the ensemble at Staatstheater Cottbus, where she made her debut as Mimì in La Bohème. Her repertoire includes the title role in Alcina, Marianne in Der Rosenkavalier, and the Countess in Le nozze di Figaro, which she performed with the Korea National Opera in Seoul. In 2025, she appeared as Agathe in Der Freischütz at Frankfurt Oder, and successfully debuted in the roles of Smeraldina in The Love for Three Oranges and Cio-Cio San in Madama Butterfly at Staatstheater Cottbus. At the Goethe-Theater Bad Lauchstädt, she expanded into Wagnerian repertoire with her portrayal of Sieglinde in Die Walküre and Gutrune in Götterdämmerung.
She has also appeared in concert at the Berlin Konzerthaus, performing signature arias from Pagliacci, Madama Butterfly, L’amico Fritz, and La Bohème.
Her honors include second prize at the 2023 Korea National Opera Competition, second prize at the 2022 Concorso Internazionale Riccardo Zandonai, the 2023 Bayreuth Scholarship, and support from the Giovanni Omodeo Foundation in 2022.
Choi holds a bachelor’s degree from Suwon University and a master’s degree from the Hanns Eisler School of Music Berlin, where she is currently pursuing a Konzertexamen (postgraduate diploma). She is represented by IMG Artists for general management and is a recipient of support from the SeAH WOON HYUNG LEE Foundation for Cultural Promotion.
